Ronald Rudolph Elizondo, 84, passed away on April 6, 2025, in Temple, Texas. He was born on August 27, 1940, in San Antonio, TX to Rudolph and Ella Elizondo.
He attended St. Mary’s University and was a proud member of Rho Betta Gamma fraternity. He was a businessman who also pursued his love for aviation as a pilot. He enjoyed the freedom and accomplishment flying gave him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Ella as well as his brother, Dr. Charles Elizondo. He is survived by his loving wife, Polly Procter Elizondo; his sons, Colby Elizondo, wife Kimberly and James Elizondo, wife Trisha; his brother, Robert Elizondo; his sister, Martha Gomez; and his grandchildren, Logan Wills Elizondo, Lane Elizondo, Evan Wills Elizondo, and Caitlin Elizondo.
His family was central to his life, and he cherished the moments spent with them, imparting wisdom and creating lasting memories. Making his grandchildren breakfast and sundaes were always highlights for him.
Ronnie cherished his grandchildren and loved horses. He also enjoyed watching sports and a HOT meal. He loved a drink of Jack Daniels and watching Fox News.
Family and friends are invited to honor Ronald’s life during visitation at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton, Texas, on April 19, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at the same location from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Immediately following the service Ronald will be laid to rest in Greathouse Cemetery in Temple, Texas.
